What happens after a door knock offer?

I am wondering what to do after a door knock offer is accepted? What is that process? Since I won’t have a agent to help me with the process I need to understand what to do after.

You really don't need an agent if you're door knocking. You can just go straight through a title/escrow company, but I'd recommend you additionally get a real estate attorney on your side to make sure everything is moving along in your favor. I've dealt with a lot of incompetent title agents where I've had to correct their issues that could have caused major issues after/at closing.

For reference, mattorney handles the whole transaction for around $1,500.

Did you write the offer or is it an offer for you? I have a list of lawyers that you can reach out to for the council. Most of them only practice in Ohio though.

@Paul Vu Did you get the sellers to sign a contract with you? If you did you'll want to contact a title company, open escrow, and check title. You need to know if the property has any liens or hidden surprises.

@Paul Vu just saying as an unbiased agent here in Columbus, this is where agents can earn some of their keep. Being an agent means helping you navigate through paper work, legal docs, and helping you stay on track with closing.

However with that being said, make sure you follow the contractual deadlines, contact title and get things ready.

Once you have the signed contract, open escrow with a title company.  That should get the ball rolling.
