Hey guys,

I’m still a newbie without any deals under my belt yet, but am looking to purchase my first house within 90 days. Any insight into some hot areas within and around the Chicago area? Looking to fix and flip the properties.

Thanks!

@Timothy Pauldon the whole Chicago area is at a very low inventory point, so I think I would focus instead on an area that is close to where you live and that is in the middle from a price point perspective. I think most rehabbers would be smart to try for a base hit in the 200-400k ARV price point for their first one as there is a huge buyer pool for that price point across the metro area. Stay away from really cheap properties on the far south side unless you live in the area and are familiar with things.
