Investment opinion for Sacramento area

Hello fellow BP-ers,

I am new to real estate investing. I live in Santa Clara. I am currently looking for an investment property in Sacramento(e.g. Elk Grove, Roseville, Folsom, Arden-Arcade ..). I am thinking around 400k for a duplex. Hoping for hold and sell in maybe 10+ years.

Does anyone have suggestions of where in Sacramento is good for renting? Open to any suggestions.

Thanks

Shen

Hi @Shen Huang, I recently purchased a 5-bedroom duplex for $405,000 with $5,000 closing credit from seller in the Arden-Arcade area. Great neighborhood that has been gaining LOTS of traction for the price range you're looking for.

West Sacramento, especially right across the bridge from downtown Sac is another area developing quickly. There are plans in motion for a new, modern bridge to be built over the next 3-5 years.

Moved to Sacramento from Santa Clara/North San Jose three years ago :)
