Getting rid of tenants in Los Angeles
My uncle passed away 3 years ago. He's had the same tenants for 35 years. The rent never changed. Now, my family wants to raise the rent but can't. How do we kick them out without having to reimburse them for leaving? 4 unit apt bldg is paid off.

why can't you raise the rents?
instead of kicking them out, tell them you'd like to reward them for being a tenant for so long.
then go find an older mobile home you can buy for $3,000 - $4,000 and give it to them.
Tell them your uncle wanted them to have it.
it will make them feel GOOD about leaving.
After paying rent for 35 years ( even cheap rent), it is the least you can do for them.
