Do you provide weapons to your STR tenants?

Question

I had a small plumbing job to do between occupancies. While moving my tools out I decided to leave a 24 inch pipe wrench by the front door to use as a weapon. There was a homicide about 110 yards away from the front door of this house about 2 months ago. What weapons do you leave for your tenants?

Is it just me, or do I live in a weird market?

I think you should leave a smaller one as well kind of like a his and hers. Remember 2 is one and one is none when it comes to survival.    If you cater to families why not some fun sized as well so they can all defend the homestead, no free rides for the kiddos but make sure they are on their level.

I think you live in a weird market. I'd ask your Attorney about this, but it seems preposterous to me to consciously leave a weapon for a tenant at any rental.

This is hilarious.  Thanks for the chuckle today.  I think you are joking and I sure hope you are.  I don't leave weapons.  I think that might be a liability but if they are also just tools, that might be okay.  But, if that thing falls off the wall then it could hurt someone.

One of my STRs caters to gun people so there are firearms all over the place and I stock it with gun cleaning supplies and NRA magazines....

Paul, you'd be better off with a 24 inch pipe rather than a pipe wrench. I've got one of those bad boys still from my days as a plumber and that's too heavy to be trying to swing. A 24 inch piece of 1 or 2 inch black gas pipe is pretty stout and has less air resistance 🤣
