Short Term Rental Insurance for part time landlord
I am the broker of Graystone Real Estate and constantly train my agents with new investment ideas. I also help investors purchase and sell their short-term rentals. I have a client that has their home as a primary residence and rents out temporarily a few times a year. Their problem is what insurance they should use. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best policies for this situation?

Hey @Nadia Daggett, so this is an interesting topic. You could advise a couple of things.
First thing I would look at is adding a rider temporarily to their homeowners coverage. Many primary insurers also provide STR coverage these days so I would talk to them first.
Like @Leslie Anne Morris said Erie offers specialty insurance add-on's for owners. It augments your standard homeowners policy.
Plus there are several single stay insurers, but I haven't been able to find the one I was thinking of. Essentially it provides STR insurance for a single guest stay.
