Ok, so it is close to town but on a large lot.

There are some areas in the country where suburban vs rural does make a difference in lending. Like Broken Bow, OK.

I would still investigate the local credit unions and banks in the area. They will know the area and if there is any issues with platting or zoning.

Is that 5 acres zoned for multi?

I'd ask for seller financing first, and then go look for lenders.  I pay 6% interest only for a 5 year term.

If you are in an agricultural area, check out the local Farm Credit Bureau. They do residential and business oriented loans in rural areas.

it has electicity, is close to a town but its in 5 acres.. what makes homes far from ech other.  I am borroing for short term rentals (aribnb, booking, VRBO etc)

Hey @Carlos Pelegrina, what do you mean by rural? Like off grid rural or small town America?

You are borrowing for a short term rental, not an AirBNB.

Our lake house is pretty rural and we used a local credit union as the lender.
