Thinking about doing a Brrrr with Manufactured home

Posted

What’s everyone’s thoughts on doing a Brrrr with manufactured homes in Texas? Do they appraise okay in Texas if done right? Anyhow this would be my first rental property and would like to start with lower price point like manufactured home.

In my experience, 1) manufactured homes are not nearly as desired (a lot of buyers won't even look at a MH), and 2) they definitely do not appreciate at the same % rate as a traditional house....

So you're starting off with 2 strikes against you. I would suggest that you use the same dollar amount to buy a trashed stick-built house to rehab...
