Landlord's taxes in Florida
Hi guys,
those who live in Florida or have rentals in Florida.
When you do you taxes, do you file with the Florida Revenue Department?
For example, I lived in the past in Arizona, so when I do my taxes I print 2 copies, and send one copy to the IRS (the Feds) and the second copy to the local IRS (the Arizona IRS, which is called Arizona Department of Revenue, if I remember correctly)
Since I moved to Florida last year, my understanding I dont have to send anything to the Florida IRS (if there is an institution like that), I should only send a copy to the IRS (the Feds), correct? Since Florida has no income taxes... Rentals are not considered business, its a passive income, correct?
Anyway, I probably dont explain it well, but on the turbo tax did not print anything for me for Florida, so I am kind of confused on that. Because when I lived in Arizona it would always give me the Arizona return that I had to file with the Arizona Dept of Revenue...
