Is there a market for MTR in NC?

Looking into Greensboro and Randolph for MTR/LTR. Is there a market for MTR or are LTR the route to success?

While I can’t speak to those markets specifically, in Columbia, SC mid-term rentals can be a practical strategy. There’s consistent occupancy from students, professionals, temporary relocations, and hospital staff, and they often allow for better cash flow than regular long-term rentals.

Take a look at Winston-Salem. Very close to Greensboro, and has a very established MTR market due to demand made by hospital and a corporate travel (Hanes, RJ Reynolds).

Location always makes a huge difference. One great activity is what I call the "quick and dirty" way to look. 1) In Airbnb, look up your address in "travel" mode. and see how much competition there is.  2) Look up monthly stays for this coming weekend and for the whole month and see how many vacant units there are.  3) Then use the filters to see if there is a saturation in 2-3-4-5 bedrooms and what amenities might make a difference in your competitive strategy (Ie. in unit laundry, pet friendly, # bathrooms, etc)
