Seminars worth the money? CT REIA
I recently joined the CT REIA and I've decided id like to go to one or two seminars in the upcoming months. I think it's usually 100$ for Saturday and Sunday 830-600pm. I know knowledge can be attained as well as networking. But have any of you attended weekend seminars like this?

I've been a member of CTREIA for a few years. I'd say the experience/benefits of the seminars varies, depending on the speakers. And of course that's personal preference. Also be prepared for a succession of hard sells over the two days. Leave your wallet in the car. Seriously. If nothing else, you'll give yourself a few more minutes to think it over as you walk to your car to get your $$.
I think it also depends on your experience. When I was totally new and still learning vocab and concepts, I picked up some good nuggets. Now I tend to skip those 2-day "seminars" and spend more time on Bigger Pockets for education, though the monthly CTREIA meetings are a good place to network (and are just a couple of hours).
