Great turnout last night @Phillip Dwyer . Good to see the attendance increasing. I just wanted to thank you for organizing and hosting last nights event.
Afterwards I was thinking on ways to improve the next meetup. Here are a couple ideas I had that I thought could benefit the attendees. If you think any of them will be beneficial let me know. If not I thought it was worth throwing it out there.
1. Business card table - If we have a table setup where people can place a stack of their business cards that way those that are interested can collect the a card from each person before they leave to help all attendees network with each other. (I was passing them out to those that I spoke to directly but I did not get a chance to get with everyone so I think this would help us network with those you do not have a chance to get with at the meet up).
2. Sign in sheet - On the same table we could offer a sign in sheet for people to put their names, phone numbers, and email addresses. Then after the meeting Phil could send the list to all those who attended to also help with networking and keeping in touch with each other.
3. Time to present deals - When I attended a BP/Black Diamond meetup in Massachusetts there was a designated time for anyone in the group who has a deal they want to share to stand up and present the details to the group. There was a max time limit on each speaker so you can ask that each member keeps it under 60 seconds or whatever you choose. This gives them an opportunity to inform the group of a deal and then those that are interested can follow up with that member later in the meeting or afterward on their own.
I would like to hear other ideas people may have to. Positive input can only help improve the benefits for all that attend.
Please tag others I missed. Thanks again Phillip!
