Great Reasons to Live & Invest In Huber Heights Real Estate

Huber Heights, Ohio is located at the true crossroads of America, nestled between I-70 and I-75.  The city is named for Charles Huber, the developer who constructed a number of the houses that would later comprise the city beginning in 1956 in Montgomery County. The former Wayne Township (named in honor of Major General Anthony Wayne, whom George Washington named Commander-In-Chief of the United States army in April of 1792 and was best known for his decisive victory at the Battle of Fallen Timbers in what is now Toledo, Ohio) incorporated as the City of Huber Heights in 1981, and continued to grow by annexing parcels in Miami and Greene Counties throughout the years. Huber Heights is the third largest suburb in the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area by population, and is celebrating its thirty year anniversary this year.

Huber Heights offers beautiful parks and recreational opportunities for every interest, a very diverse population representing many cultures, and great schools and athletic programs. It has a very strong business community and forward-thinking development opportunities in transportation logistics, research/development, high tech, light industrial, and a host of other enterprises. Huber Heights businesses draw from both the Dayton and Springfield employee market pool offering well-educated and trained prospective employees and over 800 businesses call Huber Heights home. The major industries of the city include ABF Freight System, Inc. Apache Technologies, Dayton Freight, LaserMike , AIDA/DTC, Bowser Morner, Coca-Cola, Enginetics, Fukuvi USA, Hughes-Peters, Metokote and Trimble Navigation and is located just 8 minutes away is Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Huber Heights's motto is "America's largest community of brick homes" which one idyllic drive through this quaint town will more than illustrate. In 1956 Charles H. Huber started the first privately owned utility company in Ohio and launched the construction of his first plat of brick, single-family homes. Over the period 1956-1992, Huber Homes built a total of 10,707 single-family homes and 2,258 multi-family units in the community. With homes still being built along neighborhood lines near neighborhood-based schools, housing truly is available for everyone including the first time home buyer, empty nesters, professional couples and upper management personnel.  Everything from the 1-bedroom apartments, senior housing to deluxe condos and even a gated community can also be found in Huber Heights. The growing residential stock offers housing and lifestyle variety unmatched in the region. Family-centered residential development in beautiful wooded areas, urban settings, and semi-rural neighborhoods makes Huber Heights an attractive town to call home, so if you’re in the market for a new home, check out Huber Heights real estate today!
