Back to School, Back 2 Life

So this weekend my oldest turned 12! It's all going so fast.

She started 7th grade this week as well. She was pretty excoited going in. But coming home, it was like a deflated balloon. It's hard to see her upset but you don't want to pry. But as a parent, you must! So I did. All day long. lol.

Finally at dinner time she explained to me that she felt a bit anxious about the impending year. Her new teachers were stricter. The classwork was harder. The deadlines shorter and the expectations higher. And with that being said, the consequences much more stern.

It was a bit of a culture shock for her. She's a Honors student, so she was used to the teachers being overly impressed with her accomplishments. This year she is in all honors classes, so everybody has similar aptitude. She did fine the next day. I think she'll be fine.

My little one had her first day in Pre-Kindergaten. She was so excited. I was unsure how she would be under the transition to a new school. I forgot how much commotion can be found at an elementary school. Parents are far worse than the kids. Pushing and being rude, cutting lines and PARKING. OMG! PARKING! But I survived. I have to volunteer tomorrow. 3 Hrs with 15 other 3-4 year olds. I'm going to need a nap.

As far as the Mobile home investment, I am still wading water. I've decided to use as many creative avenues for funding as possible. I am opening a Etsy store to help gain revenue. I think I might hold of on the Kickstarter/Indiegogo project until I get a more secured plan of action. My objective is to obtain at least 1 mobile home. With that 1, I'm sure I can flip it and purchase another, maybe two.

I hope you are all having a great week so far. I also hope none of my new found friends had any property loss or damage from California wildfires. I saw that and my heart instantly sank when they spoke of "structures" burning. But I thought "these are investments, some on the better end of $20k-$100k" not just "structures. I also hope that you are making deal on wheels! Talk to you soon. If I survive tomorrow. n_n
