Active Renter is absolutely amazing and very professional. Their team works quickly and efficiently to get your property on the market for rent as soon as possible, and they always deliver on time. Richard has been great to work with—very responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the process. Security Deposit Wrongfully Withheld – Unresolved Maintenance Issues I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Active Renter regarding the return of my security deposit. Funds have been withheld based on alleged tenant-caused damage, yet no credible or sufficient evidence has been provided to substantiate these claims. You have stated that the landlord is responsible for the withholding and is attempting to charge additional amounts beyond the original security deposit. However, the video you provided does not demonstrate the damage being alleged. The only observable issues were a refrigerator and oven requiring cleaning and a missing remote. These minor items do not justify the amount withheld, nor do they justify attempting to collect additional funds beyond the security deposit. Further, your claim completely overlooks serious and unresolved maintenance issues that existed throughout my tenancy. The air conditioning unit leaked for an extended period, resulting in a hole being cut into the ceiling. That hole remained unrepaired for approximately three months, with a bucket placed underneath to catch the leaking water. Despite multiple requests, this issue was never resolved prior to my move-out. Leaving an unrepaired hole in the ceiling for months constitutes a clear habitability and maintenance failure. Withholding a tenant’s security deposit while ignoring significant maintenance and habitability concerns is unacceptable and inconsistent with landlord-tenant obligations. I have both move-in and move-out photographs demonstrating that the condo was returned in good condition after two years of occupancy and that the alleged damages are either nonexistent or fall under normal wear and tear. I welcome the opportunity for management to resolve this matter appropriately by immediately returning the wrongfully withheld portion of my security deposit and ceasing any attempts to collect additional, unsupported charges.

I’ve had such a great experience with my current rental property. The management team has been incredibly professional, understanding, and easy to work with. Any time I’ve needed support or had a question, they’ve handled it quickly and with genuine care. It’s clear they truly value their tenants and go out of their way to make sure we feel supported and respected. It’s rare to find a rental property where the staff actually listens and works with you, and I really appreciate how consistent they’ve been. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place where the management actually care! Richard and Courtney are the best!

Richard from Active Renter was a pleasure to work with throughout the last 3 years. He was quick to respond and help connect with the owner of the house. Maintenance requests were always dealt with quickly. Communication was very efficient and friendly. I would definitely rent from Richard again. My new landlord agency has been a complete nightmare, and I am very much missing working with Richard and active renter agency!

I rented the same beautiful home from Active Renter for six years and I will always remain deeply grateful for the experience. Courtney and Richard always communicated promptly, with clarity and kindness, and handled every matter with a genuine sense of fairness. They balanced tenant and owner needs beautifully, and their choices consistently reflected strong principles. I always felt respected, informed, and valued. We moved out of state otherwise, we would still be happily renting with them today. To all future tenants, You are so lucky to have found Active Renter. just wanted to take a moment to share how much I appreciate this property management team. They’ve honestly gone above and beyond for us, and it shows. You can tell they actually care, not just doing a job. Every time we’ve needed something, they’ve been on it right away, patient, understanding, and genuinely helpful. When we were ready to rent our property, our realtor referred us to ACTIVE RENTER. He had vetted them and was very impressed with what he found out. We had heard a lot of horror stories from friends who had tried to rent out the houses themselves and also from friends who had used a rental service that they were very dissatisfied with. ACTIVE RENTER was remarkably fair on their fees, always available to help us out and very pleasant to work with. I guarantee you just can’t go wrong with them.

Richard and his staff are very friendly, helpful and responsive. It's apparent that they truly care for their tenants and want the best experience for them. Any time I have an issue or need to submit a maintenance request, they almost always get back to me within the same day. I highly recommend this company!
