Jacob was great to work with. In my year & half there, while attending MTSU, I had 2 minor issues & they responded promptly and fixed. The price was very reasonable for the area. The location was perfect for me - school, activities, restaurants.

Update in response of the company: That’s actually false. We never paid a deposit so the home wasn't being held and we weren’t committed to it. We were told the home wasn't held for us that’s why it was shown to multiple people after us. Jacob made it very clear the home wasn’t being held that’s why our lease was canceled multiple times by him as he was still showing it to other families. We have text proof of that I can upload as well. That’s what he claimed anyway. Honestly I feel since it’s still available he was just using the threat of others potentially being interested in the property to make us rush into signing. He tried rushing us into signing multiple times with short time periods to think. (Even though the lease clearly stated we had 72 hours) he would send a lease and cancel it the next day. Because of that it made us uncomfortable and chose to not rent from the company. The right thing would be to refund us as promised. If you all have any decency and integrity at all then you would refund us our money. Especially since we tried reaching out to Jacob personally multiple times and he ignored us. My husband called the office and a woman said she would have him send the refund over and it would be available in a few days. This is wrong on so many levels. Please be careful and never rent or put in an application with this company. Jacob made us pay an application fee before he would let us view a home. He told us he was the only one with the keys and he wouldn’t show us the house without an application. He assured us that he would refund us the fee if we didn’t end up renting the property. After viewing the property he tried rushing us to sign a lease. The lease said we had 72 hours to sign it however he told us we needed to have it signed by 5pm that night. He canceled it the next morning. After showing it again and another couple passing on it he sent us a lease only to cancel it again the next day. Ultimately the only reason we ended up not renting the home was because his actions and behavior made us nervous and he didn’t seem like someone we wanted to rent from. After reading the reviews it seems like having issues with him is a common occurrence. I regret not researching them more. Had I read the reviews and their responses to the reviews on here I would have stayed FAR away. Stealing money from people let alone a family with two young children is gross.

I have been a renter since Jan 2022 . I have never rented anything in over 46 years and when moving to Tennesse , I was a bit nervous about renting. It has been nothing but a very good experience. If I have had any questions or concerns or issues with the property, I just call Jacob, and he takes care of it. When I have had work done , they do it promptly and the people who come are so respectful and kind. Absolutely no issues whatsoever. I appreciate the respect and graciousness I have been shown by Five Star and my manager, Jacob. I have thought about buying a house but honestly with being on a fixed income and the lack of physical ability to maintain the repairs and upkeep with owning, I hope to just rent from them and not have to worry about anything for many years.
