BHB has been in the community supporting families for years. The owner, Mr. Larry, and his staff assisted me many times over the past 20 years. When people ask me about rental properties, home ownerships, or property management, I send them to BHB because I know they do their best to assist their clients. BHB is not perfect, but when there is an issue, the owner is very hands on in making sure it gets resolved. BHB is a great asset and resource for all your housing needs.

Larry and his team helped me save almost $8k by fully investigating an issue coming from the basement and not settling with the first quote. Initially, thoughts were a sewage leak into the basement resulting in a almost $9k quote from one company, however after Larry pushing to find the root cause, they found it was not sewage but food and water from the kitchen sink piping that was dislodged, resulting in a $1500 fix. I am really grateful that not only are they into fixing the problem for the tenant but also taking care of the property owner. Thank you!

I would not recommend that anybody goes through this investment company. After calling almost daily, we were finally able to tour a house after a couple weeks. By the time we were finally able to get in for a tour, there were many applicants ahead of us. During the tour we saw an overwhelming amount of rat/bat poop in the attic, broken windows, and no railing on the stairs (not up to code). We decided to take a chance on the house since it was in a good location and we were told these would be fixed. We thought we were lucky when all of the applicants were denied. We realized that they were all denied because this company does not want to accept anyone. We were denied because my boyfriend does not have check stubs with his line of work. We sent bank statements and tax returns (told this was acceptable) and highlighted the portions that showed he makes enough to be over 5x the amount of rent. This was still denied. We even got co-signers and were denied again. We were strung along for over 8 weeks with almost no communication and denied for reasons that did not add up. Do not go through this company.

Larry and Ashia is the best you will find in Indianapolis, along with the entire staff. I have a team that looks out for my profits and having the properties in excellent condition. My son was told his income didn’t match with what he earned which made no sense, he turned in his W2’s bank statement, employment information, made well within the monthly income and was denied. I called after the denial letter and ask what we could do to get him into this house and they replied that we could fill out the application for co-signer and sent in the application the same day and would have to get in line again and wait for approval, and by then the house had been rented. This whole process has taken more than 6 weeks from the day they showed the property . What a total waste of time and money!!

I am currently a resident and I highly recommend no body rent or buy any property associated with BHB. The company does not address any issues on the property and only care about money. For example my fridge motor went out and all my food went bad. I called BHB where after 3 days the fridge was replaced but refused to pay for the food that spoiled in the fridge due to not having a working fridge. The company also does not know laws regarding service animals and will try to bill you for having the animal due to the complex saying no pets even though service animals and ESA animals are protected under the federal government. The employees at BHB are also very disrespectful. And do not want to let others talk. Even if you complain to the owner nothing will be done. At first I was really happy about renting to BHB since the owner is a firefighter like I am however after being here for a few months the love for my property and BHB has left.
