How accurate is Zillow Zestimate for a property?

Zestimtes are inaccurate, Zillow was making offers based off the zestimate and lost a lot of money doing it. Run comps from the MLS.

There really is no formula for knowing how accurate it is that doesn't involve having an inspiringly good professional on your team.

I've seen Zestimates be low, high, spot on, or egregiously low or high.  This happens both on sale and rental Zestimates and it happens in Zillow's own back yard AND across the US.

Nevertheless it gives sellers all over the country undue confidence that their home will sell for $X . . . . blast these tech companies and their "solutions"
