Real Estate License Advice

Brandon Cho
Posted

I am 17 right now and I am interested in obtaining a real estate license from the state of New Jersey once I turn 18. It would be great to have tips, tricks, and general advice for the process!

Real estate is easy to get into and hard to stay. The median age is 56, which means the other agents will have a lot of life experience behind them that you won't have. Around 85% of all agents quit within two years because they can't earn a living. Out of those that keep their license, 80% of the sales are handled by 20% of the agents.

The bottom line: you need the mentality expressed in the meme below. If you can self-motivate, self-educate, self-regulate, and hustle like nobody's business, you may do very well.
