Uber/Lyft when Driving for Dollars

Hi everybody, what are your thoughts on Uber(ing)/Lyft(ing) while driving for dollars. I've attempted to do it in Atlanta and for a city without much of a transit infrastructure I think it may have actually helped me better understand what exists in my local market. If you have done it what are your thoughts on the matter? If you haven't done it what are your thoughts on the matter?

I have not done it, but it sounds like a great way to get to know your market and make a little cash on the side. I have spoken to many Uber drivers and they say that find so many great unknown to them areas throught Uber.
