Property Management rents longer than I asked
I have a single family house in Cottonwood Heights that I am renting out the top and living in the bottom. I was hoping to sell the house this upcoming spring or summer to find a better investment property and had told this to my property manager and they agreed and acknowledged that they knew about this. Then the property manager puts in a tenant with a lease for 11 months. I am losing around $400 per month on this property.
Is there anything that I can do about the property management not listening to me? I have everything documented through email.
Thanks,
Dustin Gale

That contract is only good until they break it. If they break a part of it then it doesnt matter what the other parts say. It gives you a good chance of an out. But you have to weigh everything, of course, to make sure its worth it. Wish you the best of luck. Hopefully, you can buy the tenants outs. If you can't I would go talk to a lawyer because, technically, they signed you into a contract without your permission.
