12k Investment Capital and REIT

Summer Pepitone
Posted

Hello, I am a new investor and recently was exposed to the possibility of investing in REIT's. I would invest in Equity Trust's but am wondering if this method would truly increase my capital investment funds or if I should take my 12k and invest in a duplex. What are your expert opinions on this matter?

@Summer Pepitone I think that’s a great plan! Get into something that minimizes or eliminates your cost of housing while someone else buys your equity. Educate as much as you can. If you find options, run them through the calculators on here and post the info on the forums for others to review. People are not shy about poking holes in your numbers/assumptions. It will be thoroughly vetted by the time people get done. ;)
