how thorough should an Orlando home inspector be? An investor I know took a recommendation from the realtor and got a shallow report. What can buyers do to ensure that the number of defects identified is lengthy

I would highly recommend hiring an inspector to do a full inspection report. You may not need to do a sewer scope, but otherwise I would do a full home inspection. You'd be surprised what kind of mistakes I've seen in brand new homes.
