Real estate agent question

Are there real estate agents that specifically work with investors? The agents I’ve contacted do not seem interested in helping me locate investment properties. They won’t even send me info on foreclosures and REOs. I can understand that from a commissions standpoint. Do I need to contact the company and ask if they have someone that specializes in investment properties?

Also, if we purchase properties at auction, do I need to bring a realtor? Would it be beneficial to bring a realtor? Will they allow me to attend and just observe an auction to learn?

Thank you!

@Stacy White as others have already pointed out, many "investors" don't know how to evaluate properties and just think they can send out a ton of low-balls until something sticks. That may be a valid technique, but it's not one any REALTOR wants to be involved in. It's not only a ton of work, it's typically for low commission and can spoil their reputation with other agents.

You can find good agents that work with investors but it will take some work. Start by attending a real estate investor group, either in person or through facebook or a web site. Talk to local lenders and see if they can point you towards an agent that works with investors regularly. Maybe even find a REALTOR that is also an investor!
