Top Bloggers, Blog Commenters Get Highlighted!
We just made some upgrades to the BiggerPockets Blog system to help better reward our top bloggers, commenters, and our most active posts.

The front page of the blogs now shows the most recently updated articles. Now you'll see not only the newest blog posts, but also those articles with new comments. So, if your blog article has a lot of people commenting, it'll stay on the front page longer, and thus get even more PR.

Top 5 Bloggers & Commenters of the Month are Now Highlighted on the Sidebar of the Blogs Page

Just look on the right of the Blogs page and you'll see a section called Top Participants This Month, where the top 5 individual blog posters and commenters of the month are listed with links back to their profile.

We want to reward the most active users of the site with additional FREE PR, and we hope that some of these moves will inspire others to spend more time on the blogs system.

Checks Against Manipulating the System
That said, of course there are people who will try to manipulate the system by posting worthless comments with the sole purpose of keeping their blog on the front page. If we determine that you are manipulating the system, we will ban you from making comments, and we will NOT go back on that decision, no matter how much you plead; the same goes for posting spammy blog articles.

Thanks, Josh
