Lexington SC/Columbia SC

Hey all!

My family and I recently visited Lexingston South Carolina and we really enjoyed the stay there. The area was beautiful (Near Lake Murray), Schools are great for our kids, and people were extremely friendly! I recently sold my investment properties in NJ and currently live in Maryland!

I'm looking to see what everyone thought of the rental potential in this area. I know South Carolina you need to watch out for the Investment Property Taxes at a higher rate (Almost 3x the Primary Residence Homestead Credit). Is there anything else to look out for? Any other suggestions? Any other areas around there that work for a better Investment Opportunity?

Thanks for the help and advice!!!!!

@Christopher Bell We have a couple of great referrals for the Columbia market if you'd like to reach out to them. As far as agents go, Dustin Johns with Realty Resource Group is a great investor friendly agent. He does a lot of lake transactions, too. And for investment information, Andrew Lucas is an investor and runs REI Live there. He would also be a great resource for you.
