My area of interest is 2-3 hrs away..would like to make offers based on internet info and the realtor..and then if accepted, i will go see it. otherwise , i can only see a few each month.anyone ever used this strategy and does it work?

I would be careful using this method. Make sure you know the area very well so you can spot a great deal. It will only take a couple times of you backing out of a deal (after you lock it up) before you get a bad wrap with realtors.

Why not invest in your backyard?
