Self directed iras who have you guys used before

Hello BP i have an old 401k from a previous job that i want to convert into a self directed ira to be able to invest in real estate and local businesses. I was wondering which companies you guys have used and liked working with and also any companies that you have avoided. Ive been looking up companies online but wanted some recommendations from people who have used them before. For context I am looking to invest in a couple of syndication's along with potentially loaning out money to local businesses for equipment purchases or accounts recievable. Thanks in advance.

I also use Forge Trust for my self directed ROTH IRA with checkbook control.

I also have a Solo 401k that was setup with Discount IRA. This is much better but you have to qualify for this one.
