Do you have external camera system at your rentals,if so how is your tenants approach to it? Are they concerned that you are interfering in their privacy?

@Nathan G. This was my primary home and i installed the camera which i got for a deal. The property is in a B class neighborhood. Its all hardwired cameras. All cameras are on the outside and nothing inside home. This is a single family long term rental.

Unless you are in a high-crime community that justifies the additional security, there is no reason to have a security system on the home. Even if there is justification, you should only do it with the Tenant's full knowledge and WRITTEN permission.

Because it's hard-wired, I recommend you leave it in the home. Tenants can decide if they want to use it or not. You may also want to provide instructions on how they can confirm it's off so they know you're not spying on them.
