question on landlord tenant law
quick question. I have a client that is renting. The apartment they are renting had recently had a fire which caused them to have to move out for a month or 2. The landlord is still charging them rent for the months they are not living in the unit. Is this right?

Generally, the Landlord should not be charging rent for a property that is uninhabitable.
