Maryland Lead Paint Certificate

Hello!

I am an buy and hold investor looking to expand to the Hagerstown, Maryland market. I have noticed that many of the listings discuss having a lead paint certificate. I want to know how cumbersome it is to acquire a lead paint certification for Maryland? Is it something that requires removal of all the lead paint in the house?

Thanks,

Ben
