Presenter: Julius van Rooyen, Haimish Homes LLC
Julius originally wanted to complete one flip in his first year of real estate investing. Fast-forward 12 months: he and his partner, Eric Degelau are about to purchase their 10th flip.
Julius was born and raised in Brisbane, Australia. After graduating high school, Julius enlisted in the Australian Army, specializing in ammunition. After returning from deployment to Afghanistan in 2014, Julius had ambitions of working in the sports business industry. In 2016, Julius moved to America and studied sports management at Bowling Green State University. While at BG, Julius walked onto the football team, becoming a scholarship athlete one year later.
Upon graduation, Julius and his wife, Ellen moved to Fort Myers after being offered a job in ticket sales with the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels Baseball Club. When the lockdowns hit in March of last year, Julius, along with most of the front office lost their jobs. Julius decided to pursue real estate investing full-time and has since 10X'd his original goal of flipping one house. He is the owner and manager of Haimish Homes LLC.
