Hello ~ I know both Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head are known for golf.  Is one better than the other for short term renting?  Any thoughts or insights you could offer would be greatly appreciated!

Kathy, both are strong markets but they are different. Myrtle Beach has higher volume of short-term rentals, lots of golf traffic and more affordable entry points with easier cash flow in the lower price range. Hilton Head tends to be higher-end with stronger average daily rates and year round tourism but also higher costs and more seasonal variability.

If your goal is cash flow and frequent bookings, Myrtle Beach usually edges out. If you are after premium rates and appreciation in a resort-style market go with Hilton Head.
