AirBnB scam featuring a BP member!

The primary antagonist is a member of BP but he apparently stopped using the site a year ago. This is a long article but has some good information.

I Accidentally Uncovered a Nationwide Scam on Airbnb

I reserved a place through AirBnB last year that also turned out to be a scam. It could have been avoided if AirBnB spent one minute (literally) searching public records to verify home ownership. I got my money back but the scammer walked away, probably to create another fake profile and do it again.

Verified owners would have "VERIFIED" next to their name so visitors would know it's a legitimate profile. This wouldn't take much time/effort on the part of AirBnB, it would be a money maker, and it would protect the public.

with every one owning properties in LLC or corps.. little tougher to get to the actual owner and lets not forget the paranoid who use land trusts LOL.. I just put my first Airbnb into service .. so far its been a good experience.. PM is doing a good job.. I dont really use it personally i like hotels better..
