% of Repeat Guests at your STR?

Question

Our STR at the Jersey Shore has an annual repeat guest rate of about 30-35%, depending on the year.

What are other STR's seeing, and what market are you in?

I get people 5 or 6 states away. Repeat customers is about 15 to 20%.

I'm in the suburban market (Metro East of St Louis).  We only have smaller homes and units and essentially compete in the hotel market.  We have less than 3% repeat, with ~83% occupancy.  Maybe we are really that bad...or maybe we just fill a totally different niche than the vacation market.

Like @John Underwood, we get folks from all over the west and we are getting about 15% repeat.

North of 70%.  But my renters are traveling workers at a refinery.  They come here on a regular basis for specialty maintenance.  I've got a crew of 14 that is relining a gassifier with chromium bricks.  Each brick is about $600.  It gets to about 3000 degrees inside the gassifier.  There are actually 2 of everything in this refinery.  The primary and the backup.  If the primary has a failure, they run the feedstock through the backup until the primary is fixed.  There is only one cat unit though.

We are entering our 2nd year in the STR realm, so can't give you a number right now, but it is starting to happen for sure. We have a good number of bookings for 2022, some months like May are already fully booked! I think/hope we get 30% easily.... :-)
