Time for Reset and try again

Leo Li
Posted

Hi everyone. Excited to be here to learn how to invest in real estate properly. I used to own a condo as a rental and a single family house as primary. But my rental is not generating any cash flow in fact I have to pay for tax and HOA out of my own pocket.

Reason why I said time for reset and try again is because I am going thru divorce and the condo will go to my ex.  As for the single family house I have no choice but to sell it since I am stupid enough to fell for a pig butchering scam. I lost pretty much all my savings and stocks from the scam.  Long story short, so now I will be back to square one where I will be renting without owning any properties.  Hoping to have some money left to rebuild my portfolio after selling the house and paying off the debt and loan.

So I am here humbly and eagerly to learn the proper way to rebuild and want to avoid as little mistake as possible.  😁

I'm sorry to hear that, but hopefully it's for the best!

If it sounds too good to be true, it almost always is.

House hacking is a phenomenal place to start. Here's my experience house hacking, and what I regret:

Totally experienced what it mean when is too good to be true haha.

thanks for sharing the house hacking experience.  I never try it before, so another new option to learn.
