Hi Everyone...Just a Short Intro

Hello BP Community,

I am a very fresh (starting my research) from Tustin, CA and it would be great to start networking with people, especially with similar interests and goals.  I think this is a great way to help build a long term independent future for my wife and kids.

I started out purchasing my first SFR in Orange, CA. I lived there few a few years in a 3BR house next to Chapman University while renting out the other two bedrooms. After I met my wife, we still lived there with roommates until my first son was born, about the same time we kept one room vacant and still had a tenant. After a few years, we purchased our current residence in Tustin, CA. My long term tenant/friend (at this point) moved with us and stayed until our second boy was born.

My wife and I both work, so I'm looking for a little more hands off approach.  I plan on looking for areas outside CA to start, but eventually it would be nice to purchase something here.  So my homework is more oriented around which areas I'd like to narrow down to, compare purchase prices and costs to rental income and figure out what works for us.  I do plan on hiring a management company to handle the day to day things, especially since we won't be local.

Joe Kaslowski welcome to BP. There are several local Meetups that have like minded individuals looking to network. I’m flipping locally and just finished closing on a new project in La Mirada. Working on another closing in Laguna Hills this month as well. Very busy right now.
