Young Future Investor in Tri-State Area

Hey everyone! I am a 21 year old female itching to get started in real estate investing.  I am about to start Physical Therapy School in the fall, which means in 3 years I'll have an awesome career with a steady source of income. It will also leave me 100k+ in debt from student loans. I plan on using the income from my future career to support my real estate journey, which should also assist in paying back my loans. Until then, I am educating myself as much as possible. I am reading as many books as I can, listening to the BP podcast, and watching tons of Youtube videos. If anyone has any advice on managing a lot of student loan debt, or investing in their early 20s, I would love to hear it! Also, if anyone is in NJ/NY/PA and wants to reach out I would love to have some mutuals around my age with a similar passion for real estate :) The podcasts brought me here and I look forward to being an active member of the BP community!

Hi @Serena Martinez.

Congrats to you for your ambition! I am willing to help you out with some advice or even chat on the phone if you wish. But I recommend you read this article I wrote for Bigger Pockets titled How to Invest in Real Estate Before Turning 21. I know that you are already 21 but the plan laid out in the article will serve you well since it seems you are 2-3 years away from buying your first property. Once you've read it, let me know your thoughts and if you have any questions. I am a high school teacher in Colorado and I am always looking to help young people get started in real estate investing or help in any way I can.
