Investing in Austin, TX

Is anyone here investing in Austin, TX? What's the play here? Are flips where it's at, or are ppl stocking up on rentals due to the Apple building and Tesla building going up? What strategies are working the best here? I was considering purchasing properties and renting by the room, after listening to a recent BP podcast. Is anyone doing this, renting by the room, and having success w it in the Austin area?

TIA

Austin, is not the place to find cash flow.  It makes sense still for those who can house hack but other than that your best bet is to look on the outskirts.  Pay close attention to Manor, Elgin, Taylor and Bastrop as TESLA is attractive to employees in all those locations.  Texas, up and down HWY 35 is great.  Population growing, jobs abound, and baby boomers flocking here to retire.  Good luck.
