@Jamie Jones, @Neil Goradia, @Dmitriy Fomichenko@Mark Radford, Thank you for the friendly welcome. I have been listening to the BP podcasts and would like to think I have learned a significant amount already. I still have so much more to learn but, lucky for me, I also have time until I get back into the country. I have a partner who will be looking at properties while I am abroad so that we can live in one-half of the duplex and our renters in the other.
I plan to stick to my day job for a very long time! I just hope I can start this RE plan sooner rather than later. My partner and I don't mind extra issues to work through, I used to be an EMT and worked 70 hours a week and I am looking forward to the extra work rather than sitting around after my day job. I will start to look into those areas, Mark. My partner was thinking about buying a property in the range of the 30-60k so we could pay it off sooner but the more I listen to BP and read on the forums, buying in those types of areas lends itself to worse problems down the line and renters we might not enjoy too much. Additionally, I have really taken a liking to the BRRR strategy. So, many thoughts! I appreciate all the advice and support. I can't wait to tackle this head on. The best way to learn is with first advice from those who have experienced then experiencing it myself right? So, for now, more reading for me and then, soon enough, get to tackle it myself! Thanks again!
