Average Cost Of Rehabbing

I met a contractor that always comes to my job and rents trailers so I ended up getting to know him and he told me how he bought a duplex for 15k cash and rehabbed it, he told me I should do the samething and honestly I love the thought of taking a house from 0 to 100. I just would like to know on a average how much does it cost to rehab an apartment?possibly no more than 1000 sqft, or how was anyone else’s experience? Can you get a loan to rehab an apartment?

We can't possibly provide an average. Does it just need new flooring and paint or does it need new bath fixtures, appliances, cabinets, windows, and a furnace? The cost of materials and contractors can be dramatically different in a Wyoming town of 5,000 compared to San Antonio.
