Where to Find List of Landlords

Question

Hi guys (and gals)! I started a property management company recently and am looking for a website or resource where I can locate people that own multiple properties. My goal is to get a list to mail-to, although if there’s a way to get phone numbers, that would be better.

I have access to the MLS and County Assessor page. The title company in our area says they cannot provide any lists for any criteria. I live in a rural town in Oklahoma, if that helps.

You could buy absentee owner information from listsource, compare owner mailing address to property address in either mls or county data to get a list of landlords

@Sarah Fulton Don't know if said lists exists however you can start networking or better yet start your own local meet up and provide value and content that would help out other investors and build your list from there.  That is kind of what I have done in my area.

Rhett Tullis, thanks for the advice. I live in a small community. A large number of older property owners don’t get out much nor do they get on social media.  This is why I thought a one-time mailing of postcards might be worthwhile. I was able to find a place that gave me the names of all people who own 3 or more parcels in my town. I’m not sure if it’s just an Oklahoma company, though.

It cost $0.05 per name. I will end up mailing out about 1,000 postcards. There isn’t much competition for property management, but I’d like to hit Facebook, direct mailers, networking, and signage to get our name out there.

not sure about your area but my experience has been that mail outs for PM services are a waste of money.  you are better off spending time here and using services online like allpropertymanagement.com although your area may be different than mine.

And Dylan, I would love to hear more about your meetup. I have been thinking about this option, but don’t know enough how to structure it.
