Lowest/Highest Interest Rate You've Ever Had?? Refi Now?

Question

What was the highest interest rate you ever paid on a mortgage? The lowest?

My lowest was 3.25% for a 30yr fixed mortgage in Dec 2012 on an owner-occupied 4plex. I refinanced out of this into 4.50% so I could get rid of my FHA loan and do another (along with eliminating PMI).

My highest so far was 4.625%, because we took lender credits for a higher rate. I was just a twinkle in my father's eye when the 30 year rate went over 18% in October of 1981. But would love to hear from some folks who were doing deals back then!!!

If you didn't refinance everything during the low low's of 2012, or couldn't because values were too low, the 10 year treasury dropped below 1.55% today, and mortgage rates are approaching the historical record lows of 2012!!! :) Go Refi!!

On investment properties: Highest 8% in 1994.  Lowest 3% in 2015.

@J. Martin my highest rate was 13.25% on a 30 year fixed, but that was decades ago... and my lowest right now is my first position HELOC at 2.35%

24% - I think it was in 1980.

My best rate is on a current loan. An adjustable HELOC at prime - 1.01. It recently took a huge leap from 2.24% to 2.49%.

My highest interest rate was 14% on a mobile home, I got the land on a 10% interest rate.  The lowest interest rate I have ever had on a rental has been 4%.  I did get my 20% down payment on two different properties on a five year balloon with only 2%.  Just recently I got hit with a 5% interest rate.  I had been getting 4% and 4.5% before that.

My highest mortgage interest rate was 15.99%.  My lowest mortgage rate is 2.23%

My highest interest rate was just north of 18%.

3.75% I could not get a conventional loan in 2012.. as I shed off hangover inventory and took loss's and lenders for some reason don't like that .

refining my resi now at 3.0  15 year..

my first home I bought in 1975 rate was 9%

Lowest investment property 4.35 2013 through today. Highest? 5.625 2014, when the ten year was shooting towards 3 percent.

Pretty low by historical standards. But im only 34

I've looked at old posts and before the crash 7-8 percent was considered a good interest rate on investment property, now people are upset if it's over 5. ha
