Where do you get more renters and check their background ?

Hi everyone,

First of all I am so happy to be part of this forum and thankful for everyone who shred with their experience and knowledge ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป.

My tenant is moving out and I placed the ad on apartments.com where it says will do all together (application, background check and screening and management). I do get leads but background checks are so week not detailed. I only see tenant general & employment info, eviction history, criminal background. It doesnโ€™t show their credit score anything else.

It is my first time and would like to do find a tenant myself without paying for realtorโ€™s fee which is one month rent. I would like to learn all about leasing.

Where do you guys place your ad and run tenantโ€™s background check? Any advice appreciated.

@Nazgul Tataeva

Cozy is now part of apartments.com. You canโ€™t sign up for Cozy anymore.

Apartments.com uses a version of the same Transunion report you can get on your own via SmartMove. It sources from the same database and is a favorite of many on this forum.

Alternatively you can check out RentPrep which offers a manual background check which may be more thorough.
