With Mortgage Rates at an all time high in the last 20 years, there is a lot of uncertainty as to when to buy a property. Since we are here in a high interest market, let's look back further than the last 3-4 years!

What is the highest rate you have closed on?

I bought my my first house in July 2020 at a 3.6% rate just before the rates went up.

@Noah Bacon Waiting on one document any day now to close a deal at 7%. Checked the rate lock which is good till August 31 but my loan officer said the bank hasn’t raised rates and doesn’t expect to so even if we go past that we will be able to lock in at 7% again.

7.5% DSCR rate, that's when 10% Yield is low 3% and 30YFRM is 4.5%

My wife's interest rate was 8.25% back in 2005 or 2006. The interest rate on my first house in 2001 was 6%, and back then people thought 6% was a steal.
