I’ll never forget attending BPCON 2019 and hearing BiggerPockets founder, @Joshua D., share how he stepped away from everything to care for his daughter during a medical crisis.

I sat there thinking, “I want that.”

Not the pain. Not the tragedy. But the freedom—the ability to drop everything and be fully present when it matters most.

I never imagined I’d need it.

Last month, my world changed.

My wife had a lingering headache for two weeks. Nothing touched it—not Tylenol, not Hydrocodone, not rest, nothing. Her doctor ordered a CT scan, and then everything moved at lightning speed.

A mass.

An MRI.

Brain surgery a week later.

Diagnosis: Grade 4 Glioblastoma—the most aggressive brain cancer there is. Google it. Even with treatment, her estimated life expectancy is 12–18 months.

In one moment, our entire future was rewritten.

Now, everything else fades into the background. My full-time job is her. Supporting her. Fighting with her. Soaking up every moment, whether we have a year—or only months.

I never wanted a life of sipping Mai Tais on a beach. I wanted security. I wanted to be able to choose where I put my time when it mattered most.

And thank God, I have that choice.

If you feel led, you can follow our journey or help support her treatment through the link provided. Every prayer, every dollar, every kind word—it all means more than you know.

P.S. I suppose this falls under "solicitation" rules. Any mod can remove the link if I'm overstepping.

We are obviously not going to take this down.

I'm sorry to hear this terrible news, Nathan. Very best to you and your wife. Aside from this link, please let us know how we can help.
