Why I Want to Invest in Real Estate

Hi Bigger Pockets community.

This post has nothing to do with Real Estate Investing. Well, not directly anyway. I just wanted to share what I'm sure many of you already know. I want to get my time back. I want to have much more freedom in my life for me and my family.

Yesterday my family, some friends and I took the 4x4's out and did some exploring in Southern Arizona, We headed out to the Santa Rita mountains. It's absolutely beautiful out there.

We hit a lot of trails that we haven't seen before and stopped at a few places along the way to do some light hiking. There has been a lot of rain in the last two weeks (by Arizona standards) so there was a lot of water flowing and even more mud!

All said and done, we spent the entire day adventuring and never saw another soul. It was truly amazing and beautiful. Every time we go out I'm reminded of why I have started this journey into REI. Having the freedom to spend a day with the family and friends is what life is all about.

That being said, I know investing is a lot of time and hard work. That's fine. Living a life where I can enjoy what I do on a daily basis to earn the money I need for my family to survive and also have some control over my schedule will be a dream come true.

Good luck to all of you out there on the same path. My goal is right in front of me and I'm sure yours is too!
