5 Habits That Kill Your Success Rate In Life

“Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It’s quite simple, really: Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn’t at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, so go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that’s where you will find success.”

- Thomas J. Watson

We are all bound to be successful. Each one of us is nurtured by the goals that we’ve created and want to accomplish. It all boils down to adopting very good habits. These habits can either be destructive or beneficial.

Obviously, we want to get rid of those habits that decrease our chances at success. Here are a few of them:

1. Being with negative people

Negativity has a lot of faces. It can be an action, state or a person. If you’re being with the wrong people that only feed you with negativity, then you’re better off being among people who can motivate you into becoming a better person.

2. Doubting yourself

You can’t proceed to climb up the ladder if you’re always doubting yourself. Self-doubt kills your dreams in an instant because it creates a barricade between you and being successful.

3. You have a lot of excuses

If we don’t want to take the blame for our actions, we seek shelter in our excuses. Our excuses are our only gateway to avoid the results of our actions. It’s our defense mechanism against those things that we don’t want to do or we don’t want to have, but they don’t let you realize your own potential to grow.

4. You're putting yourself down

“I can’t do that” or “I can’t accomplish it”! These are your thoughts every time that you work on your goals. Add in the idea that you’re not good enough and you have the perfect recipe for smothering your self-esteem. Never take heed of your own self as it struggles with failure.

5. You don’t properly manage your time

Time is one of the keys to success. It is essential especially if you want to achieve your goals. Wasting your time on a daily basis can drastically affect your chances to be successful, so it’s important that you make priorities for yourself.

Conclusion:

Success is one reason that makes life meaningful. It also gives us a sense of relief that stays for a lifetime. Always remember that every action that we do also affects what we will become.
