Real Estate Momentum Since Tax Credit Ended

I was curious if anyone has seen a slow down in their real estate business since the tax credit went away?

In Austin, the general consensus is that Title Companies are busy with the rush of home sales that occurred at the end of the month but aren't really taking on too much recent business.

How are things in your area?

  1. I remember this deal! Unfortunately we weren't able to help the guy out!

  2. He has good credit and cash, so conventional is probably the way to go.

  3. Have him contact me. I have homes available with owner financing. Or have him visit www.austinrealestatebank.com.

  4. Or Eanes if he can find something like this for <$500K.

  5. By the way. I have a friend planning to move to Austin soon. He's looking to buy in Lake Travis school district. Distressed, recently built home with 3000-4000SF.

  6. I had a couple tax credit driven sales, one on 4/30/2010. Since then, not much, but I might get one sold (under contract) today. It's definitely slowed for me, but I've stepped up marketing to combat this artificial, and hopefully temporary environment.
