An Untapped Resource To Find Your Next Flip—Ride Share Drivers

Finding a viable house to flip can be an uphill battle. We get it. That’s why we’re always on the lookout for new ways to make the search easier and more fruitful.

To that end. a recent article in the Wall Street Journal caught our attention. It examines the relatively new practice of house flippers connecting with Uber drivers to locate run-down, dilapidated houses ripe for flipping. What a brilliant idea!

Save time.

Driving for deals can be a time consuming and frustrating process. And for out of town investors, it may not even be feasible. That’s why it makes perfect sense to utilize a resource already deployed in your intended area—Uber drivers. Because, if we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a thousand times, time is money when it comes to real estate investing.

Save money.

So the next time you call for a rideshare, consider taking along some business cards and striking a deal with the driver. Offer a financial incentive such as a flat fee for each lead or even a small percentage at closing to provide motivation. What rideshare driver wouldn’t be interested in opening up a whole new revenue stream for themselves?

Uncover That Needle In A Haystack

Of course, there are lots of tried and true methods for finding a house just begging to be flipped. Our previous blog post entitled Finding Your Next Fix And Flip delved into a few of the most effective ways to locate a diamond in the rough. They include:

  • <Working with a real estate agent who specializes in REOs,
  • <Visiting your local real estate investment group for some good old fashioned networking,
  • <Reaching out to a real estate wholesaler who has already done the leg work,
  • <Or, if you have cash up front, attending a government foreclosure auction.

But whatever method you use to locate your next project, it is absolutely essential to line up financing that not only meets your needs but adds value to your bottom line. NavCap offers fast approvals and flexible loan packages to get your project off and running with active support all the way to the finish line.
